⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ RATED IN THE TOP 3% OF PODCASTS IN THE WORLD

The Go-To podcast for Christian moms who are trusting God with prodigal and estranged adult children.

Are you struggling with broken relationships and losses that have shaken your faith and left you wondering where God is? Have you found yourself wrestling with how to trust God and His timing, especially when it comes to your children who have grown distant? Do you lie awake at night worrying about your prodigal children, wishing you knew how to pray with confidence instead of fear? Maybe your life feels like a rollercoaster - cycling between sadness, shame, and loss.

If this sounds like you, I’m glad you’re here. It’s time to stop hitting the snooze button on your faith and start living fully awakened to a deeper walk with God —one that brings peace, healing, and clarity—even in the middle of strained relationships. The Praying Moms of Estranged Children podcast has a simple mission: to help you grow your faith by trusting God with your broken relationships. Inside this podcast, you’ll learn how to:

  • Awaken to the power of prayer so you have strength as you face life’s hardest moments with strength
  • Trust God with your prodigal or estranged adult children—even when answers feel delayed
  • Heal from past wounds by understanding your identity in Christ and standing on God’s promises

Hi, I’m Sarah Wall– mom of two adult kids, a Jesus-loving wife, and a woman who knows what it feels like to have her faith shaken to the core. For years, the cares of life kept my faith on the back burner…until some wake-up calls jolted me out of my spiritual slumber! Between the end of my first marriage, the loss of close friendships, seasons of estrangement from my children, and a difficult career transition, I felt disillusioned and defeated.

These trials were bigger than anything I had faced before—and too heavy to carry alone. I questioned why God was allowing this to happen, worried instead of prayed, and felt heartbroken. I wanted to trust God, but I didn’t know how to pray through the pain. I tried fixing everything on my own…and then I cried and crashed and broke.

That’s when the Holy Spirit gently woke me up. I realized that I didn’t know how to pray effectively for myself —or for my adult children. As I quieted the noise and made space to listen, God began healing my heart from the inside out. I discovered I was in a spiritual battle–and God’s promises became the anchor my faith desperately needed.

Learning to trust God with my strained relationships wasn’t easy, but it transformed me. The Lord opened my eyes, and I traded my pajamas for spiritual armor. As it dawned on me that faith was the only way through my struggles, I learned how to pray, to trust God’s timing, and to rest in His peace—even when circumstances didn’t change. This new way of living ignited my spiritual growth and snoozed the noise so I could tune into God’s presence consistently. What I learned changed my life, and now I’m here to walk with you.

I can’t promise that God will restore every relationship. But I know this: You are not meant to live stuck in worry or heartbreak. As you pray for your prodigals and trust God with your estranged relationships, He will restore your hope, strengthen your faith, and bring peace to your heart.

This show delivers faith-filled teaching and practical takeaways to help you awaken your faith in Jesus, move from worry to trusting God, and from brokenness to healing. Wake up to the peace and wholeness you’ve been longing for. Jump out of bed, turn off your alarm clock, and make yourself a strong latte. It’s time to let the Son shine in your life!

Have you been trying to trust in God during estrangement… but still finding yourself pulled into doubt, confusion, or emotional heaviness? Do you feel like something deeper is going on—but you can’t quite put your finger on it?
If you’re walking through an estranged relationship, it’s easy to focus only on what you can see and feel. But what if there’s more happening beneath the surface?
In this episode, we’re stepping into a deeper layer of understanding: estrangement is a spiritual battle. We’re talking about why estrangement can shake your faith, how the enemy works in subtle ways during vulnerable moments, and why recognizing spiritual warfare matters more than you may realize.
Estrangement is not just an emotional experience—it’s a spiritual one. This isn’t about fear—it’s about awareness. When you can begin to recognize what’s really happening, you can respond differently, with discernment and wisdom. This is Part 1 of a 2 part series. In the next episode, we’ll talk about how to stand firm in faith when you’re facing a spiritual attack.
If you’re feeling worn down by the weight of estrangement or walking through a difficult season with your prodigal child, you don’t have to navigate this alone. In a Peaceful Parenting Call, we’ll talk through what you’re facing. I’ll help you learn how to pray with confidence so you can begin releasing the weight you’ve been carrying and have God’s peace. Have you been trying to trust in God, but it feels almost impossible when you see the direction your prodigal child is heading? Do you find yourself worrying about their choices and wondering if you’re doing the right thing?
When your child is struggling, or making choices that pull them away from God, it’s easy to step into fear, control, and worry. But that’s not where God is calling you to live.

Could unprocessed loss be shaping how you see your life, your relationships, or even how you trust in God? And when was the last time you slowed down long enough to pray about the pain you’ve been carrying?
In this conversation, we’re slowing things down to explore the connection between loss, grief, and faith—especially for the Christian woman walking through estrangement or loving a prodigal child. Seasons of adversity have a way of shaking our faith, and that’s when we have to hang on. In this powerful, scripture-based episode, I’m joined by special guest Lori Owens, host of the Practical Solutions for PTSD podcast.
Lori shares how the Lord came through for her after a traumatic, life-altering experience – growing her faith and restoring her peace and joy. Together, we talk about how difficult it can be to feel God’s peace and presence during seasons of despair, and how the power of God’s love still shines through in emotionally dark moments.
After big moments of victory,  we can sometimes find ourselves crashing and grappling with the silence that follows. In those moments, it can feel like we’re back at square one. Yet we can still trust in God to heal, protect, and restore our strength.
Even when it feels like your prodigal or estranged child isn’t coming home, God’s character doesn’t change. When all hope seems lost, His love is still good and true.
We learn to build our life on truth– not feelings – and we don’t have to hide from our sadness. Lori and Sarah also talk about Bible characters who struggled with adversity, how adversity can push us closer to the Lord, and that we can pray through difficult seasons like estrangement while asking God what He’s teaching us along the way.
